Review about new film “Joker”

Last week I went to the sensational movie about one of the most famous villains in the history of superheroes the Joker.I was impressed by the film, I really liked it. Let's take a look at the movie in parts. (Sorry for the spoiler).
In the film, we see the famous city of Gotham, where there is a social separation. Those who have achieved something are humiliating and mocking those who are lower than them in status.  The film was shot in gray tones, which tells us that the film is about cruelty and they will show us a psychological picture, and not the vivid fantasy that we are used to seeing in films about superheroes.
At the beginning of the film, we are introduced to a hero who works as a clown, but not the one who makes fun, but advertises a small store. Our hero always laugh all the time for no reason. . It turns out our hero is mentally ill and his laughter isn't an expression of his feelings, it is the consequences of the disease. When he laughed, it seemed to me that the hero was crying, and I was scared of his laughter. With all this, the hero wanted to become a comedian and make people laugh. It was a little strange for me, since the hero’s life was not fun since childhood, and he himself was usually gloomy. But as he said his mother always told him "You have to laugh in any situation."
The hero has a lot of difficulties: he was fired from work, he was betrayed by a friend, he killed people and he learned about the terrible secret of his childhood. But at the same time, after all these difficulties, his new life begins, without suspecting it, he became a symbol of freedom for people from the lower layers of society.
In my opinion, not everyone will understand this film, it may not appeal to a young audience, since this is not a film familiar to them, there are no fiction and cool special effects. It's about the brutal reality that was very boldly shown in the film (I'm talking about the Joker’s speech in the show).
Movie critics of USA
This narrative can be perceived as "irresponsible propaganda," critics say - a white, lonely man who finds a way out in radicalism and gunfights.
"Is the Joker reveling in his lifestyle, or is he terrified of him? Or is there no difference here?" - asks Vanity Fair questions in his review.
Time magazine criticizes the director of the film, Todd Phillips, for portraying the Joker not as a killer maniac, but as an anti-hero outsider, thereby sympathizing with powerless white men who succumb to violent impulses.
Cinemas in the USA are worried that the premiere of The Joker could provoke violence during screenings.
That is, horror films with bloody scenes are allowed to be shown in cinemas. A film in which there are not so many of these scenes to be afraid to show in cinema.

Have you watched a movie?
Did you like the movie?

  1. before going to this film I heard a lot of positive reviews about it. The film "Joker" made a tremendous impression on me, a strong and beautiful film. Without any adornment, it is shown that what happens to people is just because they are poor. You well noticed criticism of the critics. A film with the deepest meaning was not appreciated.

  2. I haven't seen this film yet, but recognized a lot of interesting facts after reading this post. Thanks for sharing something actual. It's good that not everybody will understand this movie, because it means that it's not senseless how it often happens, and it means we have to think during watching process.
